For the Jan/Feb contest at :icondannyphantom: club.

I chose dadun--SPIKE! Who else? I love him. He was only shown once on the pilot episode: Mystery Meat as Jazz's first "therapy" session.

NOTE: I put it in Digital, even though I drew Spike traditionally because it was all put together using the computer, making it more digital than traditional. Thanks.

More details: I drew Spike by hand, modifying him slightly from the screenshots I took of him (I have screenshots b/c my laptop has a program that can properly take them, I did not steal them from the Picture Archive). But, I modified a screenshot background (because my backgrounds, no matter the skill level, suck) on computer and added the text and border. It is supposed to look like a yearbook photo. Obviously, Jazz isn't on yearbook committee because it would read "Most Likely to: Succeed" She's just optimistic that way.

For random puproses only, let's see what the other possible titles for the image could have been:

Most likely to:
10. Get caught smoking behind the school.
9. Beat the crap out of you for staring at him.
8. Have tatoos all over his body by age 25.
7. Get caught drunk at school.
6. Get suspended.
5. Go to jail.
4. Be a rockstar.
3. Win a staring match.
2. Have a sensitive soul.
1. Have a crush on Jazz Fenton.

Umm, okay that last one was for me. ^^; I am a big fan of Jazz/Spike- as can be seen in my DP fiction "Phases."

Ah, school yearbooks. Is it sad that I was once voted most likely to go to prison?

But I digress, this is wicked. Don't see too much of Spike (Let alone Spike/Jazz, which is unbelievablly cool.) and all those most likely to's? Number 9 amuses me.

Well, it's better than not being chosen for anything at all I suppose. I didn't get any title for my picture- I was rather disappointed, really.

And, thank you! :glomp: I feel Spike should be featured more, especially since he had the longest time on screen to not be even a secondary character of the show. (I know, it's a great pairing. I may be the first to use it, but then agian I may not- I don't browse around much to see). And, I'm glad that # 9 on the Most Like To's amused you- it was the original idea for the image, to have Spike talking trash to "the camera." But, the yearbook photo idea just was better.

I thought he was pretty cool. It breaks my heart that we NEVER SAW HIM AGAIN.

He WAS cool, and it's a crying shame that they never even showed him again in the series. We couldn't just have an appearance of him in the background? It wasn't fair. I really liked him. I have to admit, I tend to ship Jazz and Spike just because I loved him so much. :D

Eh, high school. I was the oddest person at my school in South Dakota. It was a small school with one goth (I was not it) but I was the oddball. "Most Likely to write a best selling Novel" was my bit. I still haven't written that novel three-four years later. Where does time go....?

Funny is in my little bitty high school, with less than a 300 student body, with my class being 31, I didn't get in the "most likely" categories at all. I was an outside, really. People of the "in" crowd and the not crowd talked to me, but I was basically left alone. I was the quiet artist. But, I'm really a dork.

Whoa. I don't know where time goes, but I would figure I'd have gotten more accomplished since 2005. Haven't, but I would have thought otherwise.

Do you have an idea for that novel and just haven't started it, or has the idea illuded your attempts to catch it?

More like changed things completely since then. It went from a collection of almost non-related stories to a framework story that has multiple people relating strange stories to someone who's about to have an even stranger experience. It has to do with alternate worlds, aliens, magic and maybe a wanna-be cop going crazy... maybe. (Far as she knows, anyway...) Some stories were dropped (a Ceres Ceres ripoff for one) and elements got added (it taking place in Minneapolis, a guy riding a bike in the skyways there...). I'm actually close to starting a rough draft... I'm just nailing the characters first.

Awesome. That sounds like a book that I could get into reading. I like the idea of the wanna-be cop who's either really going crazy or just thinks she is. I suppose maybe she's the one that's having to deal with the many strange phenomenon and is having a hard time letting go of a world she thought she had a grasp over.

Anyway, that's awesome you're close to a rough draft. Of all my original stories, most of them die out after a few pages and just end up things I daydream over. Although, that's the same fate of my fanfictions, too. ^^; Glad that there are people out there, like you, who know their goal and how to get there.

If that made any sense, I'm not sure.
